Let's Talk Money!!! Mr. Scott Bumbaugh and Dr. Steve Johnson talk about HISD's New Compensation Plan

After months of research, study and planning, our Administration is excited to roll out the new compensation plan for the teachers and staff of Huntsville Independent School District.

The short story for teachers is that every teacher will get a $1500.00 increase on their return next school year.

This is a new framework, so in an effort to alleviate any confusion and help explain the process, we asked Mr. Scott Bumbaugh, High School German teacher and Secondary Teacher of the Year for 2012-2013 (and longtime Hornet who has "been here since dirt"--he said it, not us!) to sit down with Superintendent Dr. Steve Johnson and talk about the plan in detail.

Also, if you have any further questions, remember that both Dr. Johnson and Executive Director of Human Resources Colleen McMillan will be available from 4:00 p.m - 5:00 p.m. May 13 & May 14 in the Boardroom at Hawkins Administration Building.

Also, you can access the Teacher Salary Plan file referenced in the video here (or by visiting http://bit.ly/teachersalaryplan)  In the video, Dr. Johnson walks Mr. Bumbaugh through this document and viewers are invited to follow along while viewing.

In addition to thanking Mr. Bumbaugh, we'd and also Coach Andrew Stewart for his help in making this video.
